Castel Sant ‘Elmo in Naples
In Norman times, a watchtower called "Belforte" was built on Sant Elmo hill. Under the Angevins, the first villas and palaces were built on the hill. In 1325, Charles, Duke of Calabria, son of King Robert, founded the Charterhouse of St. Martin (Certosa de S. Martino). In 1329 the same Charles began the construction of the Castle Sant 'Elmo, contiguous to the Charterhouse, to the the same place where the watchtower stood.
St. Martin Charterhouse
The Charterhouse of St. Martin is one of the largest monumental complex in Naples and one of the most successful examples of Baroque art, located on the Vomero Hill, at the foot of Sant 'Elmo Castle.
Neptune Fountain
The fountain of Neptune dates back to the time of the Viceroyalty of Enrico de Guzman, Count of Olivares (1595-1599), directed by Giovanni Domenico D'Auria, on a design by Domenico Fontana. First built and installed at the arsenal of the port, in 1629 it is transported near the Royal Palace, then shortly after the Castle of the egg.

Umberto I Gallery is a shopping arcade in Naples, located opposite the San Carlo Theater, built between 1887and 1891. It was designed by Emanuele Rocco, taking inspiration from the modern architecture of the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery in Milan.
Piazza del Plebiscito
This grandiose square, symbol of a renovated Naples, is surrounded by buildings of great historical and artistic importance. Until 1860 the place was called "Largo del Palazzo"; its current name recalls the plebiscite of October 1860 under the Kingdom of Two Sicily to consent to the annexation to the recent union of Italy.
